This winter and spring, First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor invites the community to experience Threshold of My Dreams, a powerful and colorful exhibition of paintings by Michigan artist Timothy Orikri. The show runs February 1 through April 30, 2026, and fills the church with vibrant artwork that celebrates hope, humanity, and connection.
About the Art Exhibition
Threshold of My Dreams showcases Orikri’s signature style: bold color, expressive movement, and richly textured surfaces. His paintings often blend acrylics with mixed materials such as fabric and wood, creating depth that draws viewers in and rewards closer looking. Many works lean toward abstract or loosely figurative forms, allowing each person to discover their own meaning within the shapes and colors.
Timothy Orikri’s art is influenced by both African and Western traditions, reflecting his background and lived experience. The result is work that feels joyful, reflective, and deeply human.

Special Events
The exhibition includes two special opportunities to engage with the artist and his creative process:
