Do Not Count Yourself Out

Written by Timothy Orikri on May 15, 2026

How often do we spend our days admiring the gifts, talents, and victories of others, yet overlook the beauty and purpose within ourselves? We see others glowing and thriving, while quietly convincing ourselves that we are not enough — not gifted enough, not knowledgeable enough, not important enough.

But here is a gentle reminder, one my father often shared with me: you are special in God’s sight.

Time and again, God has taken what the world calls insignificant and used it for magnificent purposes. He sees value where others see little. He sees potential where others see limitations. He sees treasures hidden beneath ordinary appearances.

What a comforting truth it is to know that God does not measure us by status, popularity, wealth, or influence. In His eyes, no one is forgotten. No one is cast aside. No one is inadequate. God has a wonderful way of taking what seems small and making something extraordinary from it.

The beauty of God’s kingdom is that we are all eligible. We are all invited. We are all loved. We all have a place and a purpose.

So do not count yourself out.

You are eligible.

You are valuable.

You are beautiful.

You are wonderfully made.

Be comforted in knowing that God’s love for you is not based on what you can achieve, but on who you are. You are His creation, crafted with intention and care.

Walk forward with confidence. Lift your head with hope. Embrace the unique gifts God has placed within you. Your story matters. Your presence matters. Your life matters.

Do not count yourself out when God has already counted you in.
