Today will never come again.
Read that again.

We are given this one precious day, this one breath, this one moment in time and we only have one shot at this particular day.
So, while the canvas is still before us, paint something beautiful.
Be a blessing. Be a friend. Encourage someone.
Send the text. Make the phone call.
Give the gentle nudge. Offer the compliment you have been thinking about. Extend your hand to someone who may need a little help standing.
Take time to care.
Because sometimes the smallest gestures become the brightest colors in another person’s day.
We don’t always know what someone is carrying behind their smile. We don’t know who is quietly fighting to keep going, who needs one kind word to rekindle hope, or who simply needs to know that somebody sees them.
So let your words heal, not wound.
Let your presence comfort.
Let your kindness restore.
Let your life leave evidence that you passed this way.
I believe we are all artists in this beautiful, unfinished masterpiece called life. Every encounter is a brushstroke. Every word is a color. Every act of kindness adds something to the canvas.
And once this day has been painted, we cannot paint it again.
There are no rehearsals for today.
No second canvas. No returning to yesterday to change the brushstroke.
We only have one shot.
One opportunity to love a little deeper.
One opportunity to forgive.
One opportunity to encourage.
One opportunity to reach out.
One opportunity to be the answer to someone’s prayer without ever knowing we were sent.
And above it all, God has given us the gift of this day.
So let us not rush past the sacredness of it.
Before the sun sets, may we have given something beautiful away.
A smile.
A prayer.
A word of encouragement.
A helping hand.
A little grace.
A little hope.
Because when all is said and done, perhaps the greatest art we create will not hang on a wall.
Perhaps it will live in the hearts we touched.
So, my friends, pick up your brush.
Choose your colors wisely.
Paint love.
Paint kindness.
Paint courage.
Paint grace.
